Here’s a quick update on the market and some advice for home sellers.
Summer is nearly here and a change is happening in the Desert. People are starting to come home, L.A. people are starting to use the area more, and all the restaurants are booked this upcoming weekend. It’s going to be a very strong season for market activity throughout the summer.
“WE’RE SELLING AT A CRAZY PACE OF 1,200 HOMES PER MONTH.“
As of May 1, we had just 700 available units for sale. Normally, we would have 3,000 to 4,000 at this time of year. We’re selling at a crazy pace of 1,200 homes per month and each time a new home hits the market, we’re talking to our buyers, and so are all the other agents.
There are a lot of areas in the Desert market where people haven’t been in their homes for a year or two. Maybe it’s a second home, maybe they inherited it, or maybe they haven’t been able to return due to the pandemic. A lot of these homeowners want to sell, but they just don’t know how to get things sorted. It can be overwhelming.
If you or someone you know is in a similar situation, you should know that the Munselle Group has resources for movers, packers, consignments, storage, and more. We’re working with several clients who are in a similar situation right now. We’re sorting through the things in their homes, communicating via FaceTime, and getting their homes sold for top dollar in this amazing market.
If you have additional questions or need any advice, don’t hesitate to reach out via phone or email. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
