A bit of Desert history about Desert Air and the Springs Golf Club.

Today I want to talk about another interesting piece of Desert history. I’ve been coming to the desert only since the 1990s. My husband and I bought our first condo out here in Palm Springs in 1995. I know a lot about mid-century Desert history and the country clubs, but I‘ve become a lot more interested in the history around us. I’m lucky to be a long-time friend of Doug Hart. He was the pro at the Springs Country Club for 44 years, having only recently retired, and the amount of Desert history in his head is amazing. I always learn something when we went out to dinner, and this week, I learned about the Desert Air in Rancho Mirage.
